Business! Just Not Business As Usual.

Business! Just not Business as Usual

Our office has been working diligently with Washington Realtors and the Governors office to get some clarifications regarding real estate and the “Stay Home, Stay Healthy Order.” Our Brokers, along with Brokers all over the area, affiliates, and customers have submitted letters voicing their need for real estate to be an “Essential Business.”

On Saturday, March 28th, Governor Inslee agreed to certain modifications to the Stay Home, Stay Healthy Order (the “Order”) for the real estate industry. Due to the fact that the vast majority of real estate brokers are abiding by the Order, several of the original restrictions on in-person activities have been revised – provided that strict protocols for social distancing are implemented.

We can conduct business. It’s just not business as usual. Under Proclamation 20-25, the real estate and mortgage industries are deemed essential.  Not all real estate activity is permitted, however.  For example, open houses are strictly prohibited.  In-person meetings with customers are likewise prohibited, except when necessary to view a property or sign documents.  Viewings, inspections, appraisals, and final walk-throughs shall be arranged by appointment and limited to no more than two people on site at any one time.  All new real estate listings shall be facilitated remotely, and any in-person meeting must follow the social distancing and sanitation measures described in the proclamation.

Our office is open by appointment and we are set up to serve you virtually. We are also continuing to follow sanitation guidelines recommended by the CDC.

Should you have any specific questions, give us a call. We are here to help.
